Renal Transplant Center:   Harbor-UCLA’s Renal Transplant Center, directed by Lily Barba, M.D., is a multi-disciplinary program combining the resources of the Division of Nephrology and the Division of Urology. Our Center has trained residents and fellows in renal transplantation for over 30 years and has trained the majority of Nephrologists practicing in the greater South Bay area. Our Renal Transplantation capabilities include a comfortably appointed Renal Transplant Unit and Acute Dialysis Unit at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, with pre-transplantation work-ups for privately insured patients conducted in the Harbor-UCLA Professional Building. Our expert, multi-lingual and multi-cultural staff provides vital support to patients and their families throughout the pre-transplantation, transplantation and post-transplantation follow-up phases.
