Employee Fitness for Duty Testing: This service is directed by William Stringer, M.D., FACP. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and has developed a unique a cardio-pulmonary fitness evaluation for over 150 specific occupational tasks. Dr. Stringer specializes in return- to-work evaluations in relation to disability, and assessing causation and apportionment issues in Workers Compensation claims. Employee Cardiovascular Testing: Our Electron Beam CT Heart Scan program, headed up by Matthew Budoff, M.D., is a low-cost, highly effective cardiac screening program with potential application in industrial settings. This test is recommended for persons presenting two or more risk factors for heart disease, and constitutes an integral component of executive health programs of many companies throughout the nation. Workers Compensation and Medical/Legal Evaluations:  As highly skilled academic medical sub-specialists, our faculty physicians are frequently called upon to render objective and authoritative opinions in medical/legal cases entailing complex medical issues. In the Workers Compensation arena, we bring to bear particularly strong expertise in assessing causation and apportionment issues in reference to respiratory/pulmonary function, heart damage, cumulative trauma and hand injury.
